Eagle Crossing Summary

BOOK THREE: EAGLE CROSSING
Word Count: 83,106

The baseball season has ended and Kate and Jack are finally able to take a much needed vacation. As soon as the ferry docks at Lopez Island in the Pacific Northwest, Kate becomes embroiled in a fight to keep the Eagle Crossing Wildlife Rebab Center from being closed down. Much to the opposition of the community, Emily Ann Thurston, the owner and Kate’s good friend, has expanded her facility to include orphaned and injured mountain lions. Soon after news of the expansion is made public, Emily Ann is found dead at the bottom of a cliff. While trying to prove that Emily Ann’s death was the result of murder rather than suicide, as the county sheriff believes, Kate becomes another target for the killer.
